Liner Machine Maintenance Technician

              Liner Machine Maintenance Technician perform various operating and maintenance functions that support the production of food grade liners. The Liner Mechanic / Operator must be able to perform their job in a safe and productive manner.

 

Essential Functions

 

  • Work with Production Supervisor and Liner Maintenance Coordinator to establish the proper Operations, Maintenance and TPM for the Liner Machine. Responsibilities include executing strong TPM practices with a core focus around Line Maintenance and Set Up / Adjustment losses.
  • Assist Liner Maintenance Coordinator with the purchase of all necessary parts, equipment, services and documentation to perform the maintenance work.
  • Assist Liner Maintenance Coordinator with writing applicable maintenance procedures that promote defect-free maintenance work quality.
  • Assist Liner Maintenance Coordinator in executing regular maintenance / food maintenance under the direction of the 2nd Shift Liner Supervisor.
  • Participate in all operator requirements and or functions around running the Liner Machine. Examples include and not limited to:
  • Participating in any/all “first article check” processes. 
  • Document daily production through Production Work Orders. This includes changes made to the machine in order to effectively run the equipment.  This may be done through various means of communication and recordkeeping practices, including logs, files, reports, and systems. 

     

Education/Experience/Licenses & Certifications

High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Strong operator and basic maintenance skills required.  Any supervisory experience is a plus. Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs required. Prior food industry experience desired. 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Desire an individual with knowledge of food industry standards for production, safety, waste, and AIB/SQF housekeeping.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude skills.
  • Solid basic math skills.
  • Ability to follow written instructions.
  • Interface with computer and have the ability to enter data into various software platforms. Previous CMMS experience desired.
  • Demonstrated work performance to be self-directed and self-motivated.
  • Proven track record on safety and quality.
  • Professional attitude and good communication skills.
