The Job You Will Perform:

The Storeroom Clerk’s duties include:

  • Data entry
  • Processing and distribution of incoming and outgoing materials
  • Storage and binning of materials
  • Performing inventory counts.

Additionally, the Storeroom Clerk will:

  • Control and manage staging and delivery of materials
  • Locate stock and deliver requested items to proper departments
  • Review order forms for proper coding quantities requested and authorized approvals
  • Maintain established inventory levels by checking shelves and notifying Storeroom supervisor at established reorder points or prepare purchase orders
  • Stock vendor deliveries in warehouse or supply room and check that deliveries match purchase orders as to quantity and quality
  • Report on spoilage and stock damage
  • Mark articles with identification codes
  • Contact approved vendors to reorder supplies
  • Keep records of items issued and received

The Storeroom Clerk will operate a fork truck, hand held scanner, personal computer and appropriate software packages or the equivalent.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. A high school diploma or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  1. 1-3 years of experience in a warehouse or storeroom environment is preferred
