The Job You Will Perform:

• Serve as the lead data center network engineer providing overall direction, guidance, management and supervision of entire data center network infrastructure and related software
• Collaborate with Global Telecom architects to lab test, document and generate engineering templates and guidelines
• Act as a technical liaison for data center network technologies.
• Provide Tier-3 technical escalation support
• Mentor and train Global Telecom team members on data center network implementations and technologies.
• Work in collaboration with the architecture team to test, document, and provide proof of concepts for emerging technologies
• Troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade, and provide solutions to hardware/software problems
• Identify, communicate, and implement proactive changes that must be performed to prevent problems
• Management of International Paper’s network to meet service levels, including capacity planning and upgrades
• Expand, deploy, refresh and remove all supported data center network technologies, software and services, in collaboration with Global Telecom architects

The Skills You Will Bring:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in an IT-related discipline
• 10 years of network engineering experience working directly with data center network technologies and services
• Cisco CCIE or CCNP certifications required
• Deep Nexus 9K, 7K, 5K and 2K technology experience required
• Cisco ACI, EPGs, Contracts, APIC controller-based experience
• Python, Perl, TCL, Bash or EEM scripting (preferred)
• Excellent written and verbal, business and technical communication skills for management-level audiences
• Drive to succeed, highly self-motivated and ability to learn on the fly
• Ability to be flexible with changing requirements
• Superior problem analysis and solving skills applying personal experience and experience from others
• Professional and courteous attitude towards all team members
• An advanced understanding and practical application experience of the following technologies, services, vendors:
• VXLAN, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, QoS, performance monitor, tuning and packet decodes, VDCs and 40-Gbps Ethernet
• Demonstrate practical application of the following competencies: Command Skills; Customer Focus; Decision Quality; Innovation Management; Political Savvy; Presentation Skills; Process Management; Technical Savvy; Written Communications
