E&I Front Line Leader – Fibers/Pulp Mill/Recycle

 

Pay Rate:

 

$87,000 - $127,000

 

Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.

 

Variable pay may provide additional opportunities for financial awards. This job is eligible to participate in IP’s short –term incentive plan.

The Job You Will Perform:

The Rome Mill is currently seeking an E&I Front Line Leader (FLL) in our Maintenance Department. 

The Electrical and Instrumentation Front Line Leader, Fibers/Pulp Mill/Recycle is responsible for the work activities of an entire E/I crew, including; planned, scheduled and emergency work assigned, code compliance, quality of workmanship, training, housekeeping and all other E/I maintenance efforts.  The Electrical and Instrumentation Front Line Leader, Fibers/Pulp Mill/Recycle reports to the Area Maintenance Manager.

  • Works with Production staff to determine ways to assure and improve the reliability of equipment and systems. 
  • Assure safety awareness, safe work and compliance with safety rules and policies in all work performed by Crew.
  • Provides assistance and technical advice necessary to assist in the manufacturing process.
  • Leadership, including workforce engagement, diversity, employee development and Labor relations.
  • Communicate mill and department performance levels and standards to Craftsmen.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all field work is performed in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Keep current documentation on all equipment and maintain appropriate specifications.

 The Skills You Will Bring:

  • H.S. Diploma, post secondary degree or B.S. degree in Engineering required.
  • Five (5) years of industrial maintenance experience in an Electrical or Instrumentation role, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 
  • Pulp & Paper Mill Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance Supervision experience preferred. 
  • Demonstrated leadership skills combined with technical knowledge and operations experience in pulp and paper manufacturing processes preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills (written and oral) with proven ability to coach, educate and motivate.
  • Proven leadership ability in guiding a customer-focused organization to meet its business objectives.
  • Understanding and commitment to the concepts of high performance work systems and change management.
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
