The Job You Will Perform:
- Responsible for all aspects of the manufacturing operation (e.g., Safety, Production, Shipping/Receiving, Inventory Management, Housekeeping, Facility and Preventative Maintenance, Directing Hourly Employees, Reporting, and additional items as directed.)
- Ensures that all orders are prepared for shipment. Supervises shipping and receiving of raw materials and finished products
- Schedules & Supervises hourly manufacturing team to ensure timely delivery of products produced
- Ensures that productivity goals are met by establishing clear goals and providing requisite resources to direct reports
- Ensures that equipment is properly maintained
- Engagement is achieved by providing leadership. This includes listening and responding to employee issues, taking decisive actions, recognizing excellent performance and communicating undesired behaviors to the Operations Manager
- Effective communication both up and down the organization on key issues (e.g. crew meetings, performance, overtime plans, monthly business results, etc.)
- Assist in Manufacturing of Flexographic Printing Plates
- Assist in Mounting of Flexographic Printing Plates
- Assist in Shipping of Flexographic Printing Plates
- Assist in Quality Control checks of manufactured products
- Training of new hires around required processes & procedures
- All other duties assigned
The Skills You Will Bring:
- Will train the right candidate, but knowledge of the corrugated printing industry, print plate manufacturing or print plate mounting is a plus.
- Candidate must be a proven leader, goal oriented, self-starter, good communicator and computer literate.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Candidate must have a firm understanding of driving safety culture, adhering to corporate and human resources policy.
- Candidate must also demonstrate a sincere interest and desire to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
- Some level of completed college course work, understanding of 5S and/or prior supervisory experience are preferred.
- Shift work and overtime required
- Strong mathematical, mechanical, perceptual, and spatial visualization skills
