Maintenance Manager

The Job You Will Perform:

Responsible for planning and implementing predictive, preventative, and routine maintenance work on plant equipment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the maintenance budget for the facility, to include running and reviewing SAP reports and maintaining a running tally of expenditures
  • Train, develop, direct activities, and manage performance of maintenance staff
  • Utilize platforms, including KIWI and SAP, to track maintenance key performance measures, including mechanical/electrical downtime, maintenance reliability indices, maintenance breakdowns, etc. 
  • Manage the work order system and track work orders through completion. Compile and present efficiency reports
  • Conduct a weekly maintenance priority meeting with the maintenance and production leadership team at the facility to review the open notifications and work order backlog
  • Responsible for planning of maintenance projects including scheduling of personnel (employees and contractors), maintaining project budget, accessing machine manuals, ensuring needed parts are in inventory, working with production team to schedule time and ensuring work orders are in the system, updated and completed throughout the project
  • Schedule predictive/preventative maintenance activities to keep all equipment in good working order
  • Lead Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives in the facility including: air permitting, storm water compliance, HAZMAT, waste water compliance, roof maintenance, infrared inspections, compressed air management, cooling tower/chiller, air handlers, fire & safety system, inspections, contractor training, employee training, electrical, hot work, etc. 
  • Maintain appropriate and accurate inventory levels 
  • Assist with capital project planning & implementation. Manage and document capital projects
  • Work with Operations to develop and maintain kitting processes for use throughout the manufacturing facility
  • Responsible for Machine Champion Process, to include a monthly review with machine champions of machine condition monitoring routes and backlog work orders. Review monthly machine center metrics with champions, to include kit & deliver opportunities and maintenance successes

 

The Skills You Will Bring: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Four years maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant
  • Candidates are PREFERRED who offer the following:
    • College and/or related technical courses
    • Five years experience in the corrugated box industry with heavy experience in electronics
    • Mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electricity
    • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required. Prior experience utilizing SAP, KIWI, ePAD and/or Unifier is highly preferred
  • Prior supervisory/leadership experience and/or demonstrated situational leadership skills
  • Ability to implement systems and procedures in the department
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed
  • Prior mechanical, electrical and/or maintenance troubleshooting experience is required. Corrugated experience is highly preferred
  • Prior experience with predictive/preventative maintenance programs, inventory and capital project planning is highly preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively
