OVERVIEW
The Facility Buyer is responsible for managing the procurement of goods and services specifically for the organization's facilities. This role ensures efficient procurement processes, cost-effective purchasing, and strong vendor relationships, while maintaining compliance with company policies and standards
JOB OBJECTIVES
- Streamline the procurement process for facility-related goods and services. Achieve cost savings through effective negotiation and strategic sourcing.
- Ensure timely and accurate procurement to support facility operations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all facility purchases.
- Foster strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supplier Management:
• Identify and evaluate suppliers for facility-related goods and services.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors to secure the best deals.
• Foster strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Procurement Processes:
- Process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Collaborate with facility managers to understand and meet their procurement needs.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages and overstocking.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field.
- Previous experience in procurement, preferably in facility management context.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
