Application Development Analyst I – ABAP

Location – Poland

You will be responsible for development and implementation of business ABAP application/services and other custom-developed application to meet the business users needs in International Paper.

You will interact with operational, supervisory personnel and business partners within International Paper to provide high quality development services. You will participate in Agile teams that manage and prioritize work through Azure DevOps to ensure we are meeting the highest priorities for the business.

• Work cohesively with Information Technology resources, business analysts, consultants and business representatives
• Perform tasks and duties with minimum supervision/guidance
• Have the technical skillset and interpersonal skills to mentor an intern or new hire or junior programmer
• Resolve conflicts between people and teams.
• Serve as a subject matter expert to our customers/partners in discussing best technologies to use.
• Understand transport/change management and resolve issues
• Help improving and enforcing coding standards and best practices
• Explore relevant technologies and share with team with little guidance
• Work with functional teams in order to understand the functional requirements and assist in the creation of solid functional specifications
• Provide technical expertise to help formulate a solution to satisfy the functional requirements
• Follow application and system architecture guidelines
• Work with team members to ensure the delivered design meets the business requirements
• Investigate issues in test and production environments and provide resolution recommendations

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 5 years of hands on ABAP programming experience
• Fluency in English
• SAP ABAP and  functional knowledge
• Strong understanding of the main functions in the ABAP Workbench-Data Dictionary, Reports
• Strong experience in SAP Workflow development, troubleshooting, customization and Business Objects
• Strong experience in Enhancement Framework
• Must have knowledge/experience with ABAP Object Oriented Programming
• Knowledge of SAP UI5/Fiori and related backend development
• Strong experience and knowledge in Data migration techniques
• Must have worked on Flat file Interfaces, Proxy Interfaces, LSMW, BDCs, and BAPI
• Experience using BADIs, Exits, BTE
• Experience developing reports utilizing ALV List, Grid and Classes
• Experience with screen painter / module pool programs
• Experience creating/modifying SAPScripts, Smartforms and Adobe Forms
• Strong experience in ALE/IDOCs
• Should be proficient in debugging, troubleshooting and performance tuning
• Should possess domain knowledge of SD, MM, PM, PS, AM, FICO
• Experience with SAP Solution Manager
