Tecnico/a calidad y mejora de procesos (Leadership Packaging Development Program)

 

What we can offer?

  • An initial 6 month assignment to Las Palmas & Tenerife Box Plant Complex as Process improvement engineer. PI Engineer is a key position in the business that, together with the Process Improvement Manager, identifies new opportunities in the areas of quality, cost and performance in our Box Plants.
     
  • The opportunity to join our Leadership Packaging Development Program.
    What does this Project consist of? The program is structured in different rotations. You can rotate both position and/or location, according to business needs, in our packaging plants and/or offices located in Spain and Portugal; this way we will broaden your perspective of the business and make sure you obtain diverse experience.
    What does the program offer? The program is designed to accelerate your career and develop future leaders. During the program, your progress (both technical Knowledge and competencies) will be closely monitored through your development plan, with special emphasis on your skills as a leader. To do this, you will be assigned a mentor, who can advise you to achieve your goals.

 

During your initial 6 month assignment, you’ll be in charge of:

  • Developing a safety culture, leading by example, suggesting actions and raising awareness among teams. Monitor the status of the safety incident tracking system and submit reports.
  • Contributing to the definition of improvement and optimization initiatives, working hand to hand with the production team:
    • Analyze incidents, returns, claims and non-conformities that occur, helping to solve and minimize them together with the sales and customer service teams
    • Manage quality systems (internal specifications of products, raw materials, etc.)
    • To partner with other departments and stakeholders in the analysis and solution of incidents
  • Collaborating in the implementation of corporate projects of continuous improvement and manufacturing excellence according to Lean methodology
  • Influencing quality and safety improvement initiatives by training our personnel in the use and application of new and innovative methods
  • Monitoring quality metrics and ISO audits and follow up to apply corrective actions, performing laboratory tests and writing quality reports
  • Provide environmental, health and safety support

 

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Being willing to travel and move across different locations. Travel twice a week from Las Palmas to the Tenerife plant (round trip the same day)
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably industrial, mechanical, chemical). Master in quality is preferred.
  • 2 years of proven experience in an industrial environment:
    • Experience in Quality department and knowledge of the ISO regulations
    • Demonstrated knowledge and experience developing, implementing and managing high performance work teams and systems 
  • Good command of English skills
  • Driving license B. Own car would be preferred
