The Job You Will Perform:
This is an hourly position in which the chosen candidate will report directly to the Ink Manufacturing Manager. The candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the site’s waste water treatment system and effluent system.
This position requires the candidate to develop the physical, technical, and mechanical ability to safely perform the following:
- Operates the treatment and transfer of incoming and outgoing waste water.
- Troubleshoots various pieces of equipment.
- Switches out polymer and other raw material drums and totes as necessary and ensures sufficient inventory is maintained.
- Makes decisions to adjustment tank levels and flow based on operating conditions.
- Operates the filter press to effectively treat water per permit requirements.
- Orders necessary operating supplies.
- Communicates and coordinates with contractors.
- Collects samples daily.
- Performs basic maintenance functions (including but not limited to changing out chemical pumps, hoses and fittings).
- Supports housekeeping or other operational duties as assigned by management.
- Preferred work experience in Wastewater or Effluent Systems. Other relevant work experience is a plus.
- Ability to show operational proficiency of department objectives to include safety, environmental, and operational excellence.
- Serve as a backup for the site shipping team.
- Computer skills including ability to work with MS Office.
- Proficient written and oral communication skills.
