The Beaverton Bag facility has an opening for Customer Service Representative based in the Beaverton, OR Kraft Bag facility. Responsibility to communicate with customers, estimate and enter orders, and perform a variety of additional activities to facilitate excellent customer relationships supporting Sales, Manufacturing and shipping operations; has a basic understanding of manufacturing processes and works with production staff to achieve on-time customer deliveries.
Key Accountabilities
- Communicate with customers regarding issues such as order status, estimates and quotations, order changes and confirmations, as well as any complaints or questions.
- Process purchase orders and maintain customer data.
- Work with production staff and utilize KIWI system to achieve on-time customer deliveries.
- Receive, process and monitor progress of customer orders to align the overall business strategy of the facility.
- Responsible for expediting order changes and negotiating with customers of those changes.
- Responsible for expediting flow of information regarding specifications, orders and customer requirements to manufacturing.
- Build specifications for printed bags in plant system.
- Place orders on a timely basis, and apprise customers of order status as appropriate.
- Ensure accuracy of files by maintaining up to date bag specification file, customer account file and price file.
- Communicate with sales people on a regular basis regarding activities within their respective accounts.
- Attend production meetings and help communicate customer priorities.
- Responsible for processing of bag artwork.
- Responsible for purchasing from sister plants.
Position Requirements
- Entry level through 5 years of customer relations experience.
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong oral, written and e-mail communication skills.
- Ability to handle telephone conversations, listening and communicating.
- Computer experience using spreadsheets, database and word processing software; such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
- Basic math skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Able to remain flexible and adapt to the situation and provide either leadership or follow instructions and work independently.
- Enthusiastic, customer focused, self-motivated, and innovative.
Candidates are PREFERRED who offer the following:
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Computer data-entry experience
- Experience in the paper manufacturing industry
- Bachelor or Associate Degree
