3rd Shift DoubleBacker
Position Title: Production Corrugator DoubleBacker 3rd Shift
Pay Rate: ($25.14) plus .30 cents shift differential
Sign-on and Retention Bonus: $500 after 30 days,
$500 after 6 months,
$500 after 1 year and an additional bonus at 2 years
Category/Shift: Hourly Full-Time (11pm to 7am – Monday-Friday)

The Job You Will Perform:
Doublebacker operators set up, run, and clean up the glue station, doublebacker, and other corrugator wet end equipment.
0.2 Doublebacker operators report to corrugator supervisors.
1.0 Doublebacker operator duties/responsibilities include:

- - Following all safety rules and procedures; including participation in the Safe Work Observation process.
- - Ensure product safety.
1.2 - Operating the doublebacker to produce high quality and high quantity output;
1.3 - Preparing doublebacker liner rolls and splices; peeling only what is absolutely necessary
1.4 - Adjusting doublebacker liner roll stand and preheater settings;
1.5 - Lining up singleface and doublebacker webs;
1.6 - Checking and adjusting Double backer starch settings;
1.7 - Making special set ups for reinforcement tapes or strings;
1.8 - Helping the singlefacer operator and 5th man prep rolls;
1.9 - Helping on other parts of the corrugator when the machine is down;
1.10 - Preparing down (butt) rolls for storage and identifying these rolls with tags;
1.11 - Maintaining clean and organized work areas;
1.12 - Cleaning the doublebacker;
1.13 - Completing accurate records; and effectively checking other paper quality characteristics such as paper grade and type (i.e. correct preprint, Kraft, MW, etc.) line-ups, starch dam settings, pressure roll settings, metering roll settings, heat, starch heat and viscosity. Record all data in QMS on time.
