Maintenance Mechanic

Biglerville Corrugated Box Plant, 136 E. York Street, Biglerville, PA is accepting online applications for a Maintenance Mechanic on second shift which runs 6 PM to 6 AM, four days on, four days off.  The starting rate for this position is $25.25 per hour. The Maintenance Mechanic will perform a variety of activities to maintain plant equipment and facilities in optimum operating condition.  These activities include scheduled preventive maintenance and emergency/break down reports. Candidates must successfully complete an operations test, drug screening and background/employment verification.

Maintenance Mechanic primary duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Following all safety rules and practices; performing preventive maintenance activities such as lubricating, measuring wear, measuring positions, reposition components; and observing operations, vibrations and noise levels; performing emergency and break down maintenance as necessary to support plant operations; referencing equipment manuals and other technical literature; contacting and working with vendors and subcontractors to achieve desired results; accurately using measurement and test equipment; performing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam system, and other repairs and installations as needed; safely operating the boiler, and maintaining adequate operating steam pressure; accurately and completely preparing and maintaining maintenance records and other paperwork; trouble-shooting and solving problems; maintaining teamwork with other associates and keeping supervision informed of problems and/or unusual situations; and performing other duties as assigned by supervision.
