The Job You Will Perform:
- Application administration and support of Aveva PI data historian, GE Plant Applications and other related tools in a mill manufacturing environment
- Perform first level support of SQL Server
- Support of environmental monitoring applications
- Development of applications as required in accordance to corporate standards
- Support of applications as required across multiple mills by region
- Perform off-hour support on a rotational basis
- Participate in recommendations and implementations of system improvements
- Maintain systems documentation
- Support disaster recovery plans for mill IT Systems
The Skills You Will Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Information Systems or other related field preferred.
- Typically have 1 to 3 years of experience in an information technology role
- Knowledge of the client server systems in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in web/Windows applications support for manufacturing
- Strong background in server/personal computer hardware and operating systems
- Excellent troubleshooting/problem solving techniques
- Experience with networking and security is a plus
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Ability to deal with ambiguity
- Learning on the fly
- Customer focus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
- Self-motivated/strong work ethic
- Good organization and planning skills
- Willingness to work in a team environment (locally and remotely)
