Pay Rate:
$101,000 – 134,600
Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.

The Job You Will Perform:
The key accountabilities listed below are not to be considered all-inclusive; a team member may be required to perform additional tasks, as directed, and based on changing business needs of the company.
- Primary responsibility for daily coordination of operations and maintenance activities for a Paper Machine.
- Assists Area Process Manager in leading efforts in key focus areas including safety, production and cost efficiencies, reliability, team member engagement, 5S and environmental, to achieve or exceed targeted performance.
- Assists APM in leading the area to operational excellence through superior manufacturing techniques, application of ME tools and principles, total quality principles, and application of IP’s Reliability Roadmap tools. Includes use of sustainability tools such as Trouble/Cause/Correction (TCC) and Centerlining. Help maintain and use sustainable methods for all processes and improvements which will assure the highest quality production and customer standards and meet environmental requirements.
- Coach safety in others and leads by example. Champions safety efforts by modeling and maintaining an environment of safe work practices and proactive approach to safety management.
- OMC – MWS Team Leader; facilitates MWS meetings and champions the MWS process.
- Responsible for proper shutdown (Critical Path management) and develop bar-chart.
- Occasionally fill in for Area Process Manager
- Communicate plans and needs to front line leaders and other manufacturing team memberss.
- Basic care system management (specific assignment to Champion).
- Identifies work for Basic Care (operator rounds) and manages same.
- Develop and maintain SOPs.
- Lockout planning.
- Provide communication and feedback to Manufacturing TMs on status of work notifications and work orders, including when they get deferred or canceled
- Assist APM in providing leadership and resources to support engagement and a high performance work team. Champions the IP Way and the one-to-one process.
- Work with suppliers to form good partnership relations and maximize TCO value, and understanding/meeting internal and external customer requirements.
- Maintain and develop team relationships to ensure team member relations, efforts and processes are in place that maximize motivation and the desire to work at Cedar River.
- Help develop, demonstrate and support an organizational culture based upon values of empowerment, high involvement, and participative work force in a customer and quality focused organization.
- Assist in managing the communication efforts to support all of the above.
- Fullfill area specific 5S expectations(5 Minute 5S Checklists Replenishment of tools and supplies, 5S Audits,etc)
The Skills You Will Bring:
- Previous team leader/supervisory, project management, etc. experience in the paper industry (two to five years).
- Experience in working with Maintenance and Engineering in Optimization projects and work orders.
- Proven ability to develop others.
- Proven record of leading safe work practices.
- Experience in setting good manufacturing practices and developing administrative and operative systems, including area goals and budgets, using the appropriate, reliable and sustainable methods.
- Ability to fully utilize and build partnerships with external resources like IP Technology and suppliers.
Preferred
- BS in Science or Engineering.
- Experience working in High Performance Work System.
- Leadership experience working in a quality focused environment
- Knowledge of and leadership in paper mill safety practices
