The Job You Will Perform:
- Individual must perform general facility maintenance, including hanging/mounting safety signage, painting, and minor plumbing repairs. Must possess leadership skills and safely coordinate the maintenance, baler and recycling areas within Contract Packaging which entails making job assessments and determining teamwork schedules, personnel requirements and assign them accordingly.
- Individual must operate forklifts, aerial lifts (scissor and boom), and floor scrubbers safely and efficiently.
- Individual must maintain machine safety qualifications and perform low-hazard machine repairs (cleanings, adjustments, preventive maintenance, and part replacements).
- Individual must coordinate and maintain the baler, recycling areas, and battery handling system, including battery changing/charging, and maintaining relevant records.
- Individual must be able to operate a floor scrubber, scissor, boom / forklift and drive Company truck as required
- Conduct regular facility and operational safety audits (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual) in coordination with external group
- Individual must monitor housekeeping and utility maintenance for safety and efficiency, ensuring tasks are completed on time.
- Individual must lead and coordinate LEAN activities and safety initiatives, including weekly safety meetings, safety walks, and safe work observations, focusing on identifying and addressing safety gaps
- Individual must oversee contract workers, ensuring compliance with company safety standards, and provide contractor safety training.
- Individual must use SAP Work Order Maintenance System to manage work orders and ensure proper use by the team.
- Individual must collaborate with managers, supervisors, and maintenance staff to coordinate work schedules, personnel requirements, and job assignments.
- Assist in training employees, creating records, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures and use of personal protective equipment.
The Skills You Will Bring:
- Ability to operate forklifts, aerial lifts, and other heavy machinery.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and basic plumbing repair.
- Familiar with SAP Work Order Maintenance system
- Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage personnel and coordinate activities
- Experience with safety protocols and facility inspections, with a focus on hazard identification and mitigation.
- Ability to complete training in first aid and other safety topics as required.
- Strong record-keeping and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
