The Job You Will Perform:

• Safely operate a sit-down powered industrial truck (PIT);
• Pulls orders and stock to Work In Process (WIP) area.
• Maintains Work In Process area in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Maintains forklift/pull pack on a daily basis.
• Maintains baler.
• Responsible for managing the waste of the department.
• Follows proper lock-out/tag-out procedure;
• Maintains housekeeping standards at all times.
• Conducts operations in a manner that promotes safety.
• Keeps appropriate records and reports (complete forms, logs, inventory and records accurately – as required).
• Follows all safety rules and practices at all times; and
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervision.

The Skills You Will Bring:

• Minimum of 2 years PIT experiencePrevious PIT operating experience in an industrial manufacturing or other labor intensive work experience is required
• Corrugated industry manufacturing environment preferred
• Know what a monotrol pedal is and how it operates
• Be able to multitask in a very fast-paced environment
• Be computer literate and effectively use scanning equipment and arranging for the transportation of products
• The ability to learn; and the ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a member of a team
• The ability to work well as part of a team
• High school diploma / GED preferred
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Drug screen, background/reference check and health screening required

Our Decatur Container Facility in Decatur, Alabama is looking for motivated individuals who are capable of performing a multitude of functions in a flexible, fast-paced production environment.  Our workplace requires individuals who understand the needs of the business while maintaining a focus on safety, customer satisfaction, quality and productivity.

While the entry level Forklift Operators position starts at $20.40 per hour, it increases to $24.06 after the probationary period of 90 work days (plus shift differentials).  Employees can progress to other positions with higher rates of pay as they progress.

 Pre-Employment process includes all candidates successfully completing an operations test, drug screening and background/employment verification prior to their start date.

Successful candidates must be available to work 2nd shift. Must be willing and able to work daily and weekly overtime, including weekends as business conditions require.  At times, employees are required to work overtime without notice.

The plant currently operates 24/5 with 8 hour shifts (7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm 11pm-7am)
