Position Summary

 This position is a part of the Exeter Box plant and reports to the Corrugator Supervisor. This is an hourly full time position. This position is responsible for baling waste material, loading waste materials into trucks, and measuring and recording the weight of waste shipments.

The Job You Will Perform:

  • Follow all safety rules and practices
  • Accurately weigh waste bales and record bale weights on bale tallies
  • Load waste bales onto flatbed trailers.
  • Feed waste into the hogger
  • Obtain waste loads from production/Corrugator areas as directed maintain wire (6) Wires on bales.
  • Maintain a clean and organized baler room
  • Clean the baler and notify maintenance of problems if necessary.
  • Daily cleaning out of the overflow box
  • Daily cleaning out of the box in front and behind the chute
  • Daily cleaning of the twister/inserter box
  • Daily blowing out of the radiator
  • Daily cleaning out behind the ram follow safe practices
  • Daily blowing off the baler exterior
  • Daily sweeping of the baler room floor
  • Salvaging materials for dunnage and other use
  • Perform all other duties assigned by supervision; which may include training other operators to serve as emergency backup.

 

 

The Skills You Will Bring:

  • Candidate must have the ability to accurately read a measuring tape and ruler; ability to use basic math; read and record accurate measures
  • Candidate must have the ability to safely operate a fork lift truck and clamp truck; ability to accurately use the scale
  • Candidate must also demonstrate a sincere interest and desire to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Candidate must have the ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a member of team. a proven leader, goal oriented, self-starter, good communicator and computer literate.
  • Candidate must have a firm understanding of driving safety culture, adhering to corporate and human resources policy.
