This position will be for a Area Process Manager in either the Power department OR the Chemical Recovery department
The Job You Will Perform:
- The Power OR Chemical Recovery Area Manager will work closely with the other Power and Recovery team members to achieve the department’s scorecard objectives
- Responsible with assisting the Business Unit Manager of Power & Recovery with implementation of the reliability roadmap to keep the Power & Recovery department equipment operating safely and efficiently including major outage planning.
- Responsible for coordinating production activities with the Maintenance FLL, Operations Maintenance Coordinator, Reliability Engineer, Planner, Process Engineer, shared Front Line Leaders (4 shifts) with the pulp mill area (about 43 hourly employees)
- Responsible for helping the BUM to coordinate production activities with maintenance, quality control, peer production areas and procurement to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources and process equipment
- Will play a key role in working with the 3PQP coordinator to develop training programs for the teams as well as ensuring that their skill proficiency is maintained
The Skills You Will Bring:
- As this position will be for either Chemical Recovery OR Power a qualified candidate will need either of the following:
- For Chemical Recovery: Working knowledge of operations/maintenance of evaporators, causticizing, lime kiln, and related equipment
- For Power: Working knowledge of operation/maintenance of recovery & power boilers, turbines, raw/demineralized water systems, and related equipment.
- For Power:
- Working knowledge of operation/maintenance of boilers, turbines, raw/demineralized water systems, and related equipment; ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with maintenance and other areas of operation.
- For either position:
- Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with maintenance and other areas of operation
- Outstanding leadership skills are required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or high school diploma with equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years related experience preferred
