The Job You Will Perform:
- The Maintenance/Reliability/Engineering Manager is an integral part of the Mill’s Lead Team. This role is responsible for strategic and tactical leadership to consistently improve reliability, engagement, cost, and efficient operations of the mill
- This position must foster an environment that will continuously improve productivity through innovation in order to achieve exceptional performance of all maintenance and engineering personnel
- The role responsibility includes general presence contractor administration, outage coordination, and full implementation of reliability initiatives per the corporate Global Manufacturing System
- Participate in the development of the budget and strategic processes
- Lead the development and management of capital plan to execution and maintain a high level of teamwork and cooperation between maintenance and other production teams
- Assist other team leaders and/or members in the mill as necessary to minimize downtime and maintain quality
- Coach safety in other with a commitment to developing and maintaining positive employee relations
- Ensure maintenance work is planned, scheduled, and executed to best practices
- Monitor progress to improve maintenance processes
- Continuously evaluate efficiency and effectiveness of the organization’s approach to reliability
- Develop and drive the reliability improvement culture and metrics that drive the right behaviors and link directly to reliability strategy
The Skills You Will Bring:
- BS Degree (preferred) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related disciplines.
- 10+ years of progressive experience managing maintenance systems. At least 8 years of experience managing/supervising people.
- Prior experience implementing and sustaining reliability systems.
- Experience in Capital Project Management.
- Strong skills demonstrated in leadership, engagement, employee development and safety management systems.
