International Paper, the nation’s premier producer of corrugated containers is currently accepting applications for Material Handler positions at its Scotia, NY plant located at 803 Corporation Park, Scotia, NY, 12302

Position requirements include:

  • Operation and care of forklift in a safe manner. Must be qualified to properly operate the forklift.
  • Complete and document forklift daily inspection before start of shift and reporting needed repairs to supervision.
  • Locate stock before start of runs.
  • Deliver appropriate stock to machine centers in a safe and timely manner,
  • Maintain neat, orderly and safe stacks of stock in storage areas.
  • Complete necessary paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Assist other forklift operators as necessary and serve as a backup within the Shipping department.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
  • Additional duties may be assigned by management
  • High school diploma or state registered GED preferred
  • Ability to communicate and work well with others
  • Manufacturing experience preferred but not necessary
  • Ability to work overtime and some Saturdays when scheduled
  • Fundamental computer skills
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to potentially work a second shift (shift differential pay)
