Entry Level - Industrial Maintenance Technician

We currently have a 2nd/3rd shift ( Sunday - Wednesday, 5pm-5am) job opening for an entry level Maintenance Technician at our manufacturing facility located in Golden, CO. This facility manufactures corrugated packaging products for local and national customers. Hourly rate $26.75, depending on experience, plus shift differential. **NEW HIRES ARE ELIGIBLE FOR SIGNING & RETENTION BONUS OF $2,500.00**

 

Key Functions:

Working in a safe manner, responsible for effectively troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, adjusting, replacing, and installing plant mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic and electrical systems and components for all plant equipment in a high volume, continuous-run manufacturing environment. Perform fabrication of equipment and parts through welding and machining. Read prints and manuals. Lubricates and cleans parts. Use various physical senses to perform job assignment. Attends meetings, participates in individual and team initiatives, and possess excellent verbal communication skills. Completes personal training and supports others training as required. Use computer based programs to track work, time and inventories.

 

Requirements:

 

Some manufacturing maintenance experience is preferred in several of the following areas:

  • Mechanical
  • Pneumatics
  • Hydraulics
  • Electrical
  • Electronics
  • PLC's
  • Machining
  • Welding
  • Power transmission
  • Steam
  • Boiler systems
  • Lubrication
  • Prints and manuals
  • Preventive maintenance
  • Predictive maintenance

 

Must possess excellent verbal communication skills, attendance and safety record with a demonstrated ability to follow directions.

 

Required to (1) work additional and flexible hours including overtime and alternative shifts as needed, (2) tolerate varying environmental conditions that are within safe limits such as heat, cold, humidity, noise, drafts, dust, odors, and enclosed spaces, (3) work wearing protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, and gloves when required (4) meet physical demands around pushing, pulling, lifting, walking, climbing, etc (5) work safely in a fast-paced environment.  Excellent teamwork and cooperation; must work independently as well as in a team setting. Willingness to fully cross-train in other technical areas. The hiring process for successful candidates will include a pre-employment team interview.
