$105,300-$140,400

Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range. This job is eligible to participate in IP’s annual incentive plan.

The Job You Will Perform:

This role is for Bag Region Controller for International Paper’s Bag Business. This position would have primary responsibility for Reno Molded Fiber and the Grand Prairie Bag facility, as well as oversight for the other two Bag facilities in Beaverton, OR and Buena Park, CA. The positions key role is directing the financial activities of the complex by establishing and maintaining effective fiscal procedures and controls, analyzing performance and recommending or directing action needed to maximize the financial return of the complex to the division and corporation. Provide leadership to Finance Staff in organization relating to people development activities.

 

Key Accountabilities include:

  • The Controller is accountable for ensuring accurate books and records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and that the business is conducted in compliance with established division and corporate policies, procedures and practices; ensures accurate and timely processing of daily, weekly, and monthly responsibilities and reports. 
  • This position will direct the preparation and analysis of the annual strategic plan, capital plan, monthly operating results, trends, capital projects and operating forecasts in order to meet facility objectives. 
  • Management of the finance staff on a day-to-day basis including financial transactions, analytical work and overall development of team members.
  • Determine the assets of the complex are properly managed and protected. Establish procedures and controls that ensure adequate protection. Ensure that an adequate system of internal controls exists for the plant.
  • Accountable for timely communication with Division/Segment finance organization regarding internal controls, reporting and business analysis to keep information flowing to all management levels.
  • Pricing, Invoicing, NPI’s, and Month end in Quickbooks for Reno Molded Fiber Location

 

The Skills You Will Bring:

  • Undergraduate degree with focus on accounting and/or finance
  • Five years managing financial/accounting department
  • Three years experience in manufacturing related environment
  • Proven ability to analyze financial statements and identify potential problems
  • Candidates are PREFERRED who offer the following:
    • CPA
    • Experience in the corrugated industry
    • Experience in cash management
