Directions: Travel 12 kms south of Grande Prairie on Resources Road.
Weld Quality & Control:
The WQC's primary responsibilities are to review drawings, create construction packages, perform visual inspections and witness hydro testing. WQC has also been tasked with maintaining calibrations for Pressure Gauges, Torque Wrenches and welding machines. Additionally, the WQC Lead is responsible for planning the Annual Outage Hydro Testing requirements, which include coordinating needs from the Weld Shop, PVI and Capital Projects.
The Job You Will Perform:
- Creates QA/QC Packages
- Receive Work Orders from Planners
- Review Drawings for scope and conformity to relevant Codes & Standards
- Update QA/QC Tracker (Excel)
- Plan QC, NDE, Hydro Operations (SAP)
- Compile relevant QA/QC Forms (Word/Excel)
- Create Piping Inspection & Testing Plan (ITP)
- Create Weld, NDE & Hydro Maps (Adobe)
- Track & Verify Material construction conforms to ASME BPVC II
- Create Fabrication Package & issue to Planner
Inspections
- Visually inspect on-going fabrications
- Coordinate NDE Services as per Weld Shop schedule.
- Review NDE reports
- Coordinate Hydro testing with Weld Shop Coordinator
- Witness shop or field hydro test
Review & Finalize QA/QC Construction Packages
- Sign-off on QC forms, ITP & QA/QC Tracker as fabrication progresses
- Create as-built drawings & review with Quality Assurance
- Additional Tasks
- Monitor welding rod ovens
- Managed welding rod MTRs
Annaul Maintenance
- Control & Coordinate Annual Calibrations
- Pressure Gauges
- Torque Wrenches
- Welding Machines
Control & Maintain Hydro Testing Equipment
- Order replacement parts or equipment
- Send damaged equipment for service
Shutdown Hydro Planning
- Plan Hydro Testing for Annual Outage
- Review work scope weekly
- Review new work orders & drawings
- Create work plans
- Order additional testing equipment
Coordinate Hydro Testing Support Services
- Request vendor estimates
- Review estimates and award job to vendor
- Ensure vendor is up-to-date on safety orientations
- Compile Hydro Package including all scheduled work orders
- Compile EHS Work plan
