HR Manager

 

Pay Rate:

$105,000 - $135,000

Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.

The Job You Will Perform:

  • Supports approximately 110 employees in a non-union facility
  • The HR Manager is an integral part of the Mill’s Lead Team
  • As part of a dynamic HR Team, this position will supervise an HR team member, providing leadership and oversight of day to day responsibilities, providing feedback, development and coaching.
  • Hands-on position requires significant interaction and visibility to all levels of the organization, departments, and all shifts across the mill
  • Act with line management in instituting work system improvements which positively impact business profitability and raise employee engagement.  Help the facility build a reliability culture.
  • Leadership Development, Engagement, and Diversity:  educate, coach and counsel members of the organization on job performance, employee development and diversity to build work teams who fully contribute to meeting or exceeding business goals
  • Create staffing, selection, training and development plans to build teams that fully contribute to achieving business goals
  • Educate and coach management on company policies, work rules, as well as applicable federal and state regulations, to ensure fair and consistent delivery of human resources products, services and compliance.
  • Promote and participate in the planning and implementation of communication strategies which deliver accurate, consistent and timely information on business issues and employee concerns.
  • Research and introduce human resources best practice concepts to ensure that the organization is utilizing leading edge human resources technology and proactively considering new strategies.
  • Champion IP Change Process (IPCP) and utilize change management to help drive the continued development of a reliability culture.
  • Institutes and executes HR programs and services which support the strategic direction set to achieve business and functional goals
  • Serves to investigate and mediate employee disputes and resolve interpersonal conflicts in a win/win manner whenever possible
  • Develops and ensures implementation of an employee relations strategy. Coordinate closely with employee relations and business HR leadership to insure alignment and support.
  • Assist in succession planning for the mill

 

The Skills You Will Bring:

  • Highly motivated, engaged, committed individual that has an interest and background in Human Resources in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or a related field is required.
  • Minimum 4-7 years multi-faceted Human Resource Generalist experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with both union and non-union location a plus
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and change management skills
  • Ability to lead and influence others
  • Demonstrated ability in managerial courage
  • Flexibility as it relates to work hours during the week
  • Relocatable for future roles of increased responsibility
