<span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">International Paper,<span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif"> the nation’s premier producer of corrugated containers is currently accepting applications for hourly production positions at its Houston, MS plant located at 511 3rd St., Houston, MS.

<span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">We are currently seeking skilled machine operators with industrial manufacturing experience. New hires will start at $15.44 during the probationary period then increase based on the position assigned.  Successful operators’ compensation will increase with our top machine operators earning $20.20-21.20. Your compensation also includes generous benefits packages including company-subsidized healthcare for you and your family, paid vacation, 401(k) and retirement plans.

<span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Position requirements include:

  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">High school diploma or state registered GED preferred
  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Ability to communicate and work well with others
  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Manufacturing experience preferred
  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Stable work history
  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Ability to work overtime/weekends
  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Fundamental computer skills
  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Reliable transportation
  • <span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Willingness to work 2nd and 3rd shifts, weekends and overtime

<span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Specific responsibilities include counting and stacking finished product, reading factory orders, accurately reading tape measures, gauges and other test equipment, utilizing basic shop math, inspecting, accurately completing quality and administrative documents and following directions. You will also be assigned to clean up functions such as blowing down the machine, wiping off shafts, cleaning ink systems, vacuuming and sweeping the machine area, and picking up and shredding miscellaneous scrap.
