Highly Skilled Machine Operator

Position Title: 

Production / Machine Operator

2nd Shift - 3pm - 11pm

 

Pay Rate:

$21.01 plus shift premium

 

Sign on Bonus:    

$500 after 30 days,

$500 after 6 months,  

 

Category/Shift:

Hourly Full-Time (3pm-11pm – Monday-Friday) and some Saturdays

Must be able to work 2nd shift as a long-term assignment

The Job You Will Perform:

 

  • Focus on safety
  • Set up production equipment
  • Verify setup to insure correct grade of paper is being used, etc.
  • Verify product meets quality standards and speeds
  • Monitor production machinery/equipment operation to detect problems and take the required corrective actions
  • Accurately complete quality and administrative documents

 

 The Skills You Will Bring:

  • 3+ years heavy manufacturing experience with hands-on experience with production machinery and a stable work history
  • MUST have the abilities and aptitude to progress within the company, in order to be a valued team member
  • The desire to learn and grow 
  • Dependability -Being reliable, responsible, dependable, and fulfilling obligations
  • Attendance - Must be to work on time and work scheduled shift and available for overtime as needed
  • Self-Direction- Demonstration of initiative and willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges with minimal supervision
  • Critical Thinking-  Analyze situations and use logic to address issues
  • Mechanical Aptitude- Capacity to apply mechanical principles to solve problems
  • Active Listening-  Respect team members, take time to understand, ask questions as appropriate and retain instructions provided
  • Communication- Convey information and process instructions effectively
  • Team Player- Collaborate and work cooperatively across a multi-functional team
  • Ability to read and understand tape measurers
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment as part of a team
  • Ability to work standing for long periods of time in a none climate controlled environment
  • This job requires physical exertion in a heavy, industrial environment (examples include standing, reaching, twisting, exposure to extreme temperatures/ weather conditions, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
