The Job You Will Perform: 

The Cassette Packing Lead/Clerk leads under the direction of the Production Supervisor is directly responsible to efficiently and safely perform the job as outlined below along with any additional written or verbal instruction

JOB DUTIES:

Duties of a Cassette Packing Lead/Clerk include, but are not limited to:

  • Insure safety policy is followed in all areas of production. Actively take part in keeping areas safe.
  • Assist the Supervisor in maintaining a smooth operation by monitoring employee safety, attendance, break periods and productivity. This would include providing vacation and general relief for the Supervisor positions.
  • Actively seek and lead continuous improvement effort in inventory management and production planning.
  • Work and coordinate with the Shipping Supervisor and Purchasing function to insure proper inventory control to maintain high efficiency and low waste. This would include implementation of 5S type practices.
  • Maintain proper scheduling of production to achieve optimum efficiency, minimum inventory and waste.
  • Communicate with management on issues of aged or slow moving items to prevent future write offs.

 

The Skills You Will Bring: 
Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications: 

  • High school degree or GED (or equivalent experience) preferred
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred
  • Prior experience in the corrugated manufacturing industry or food manufacturing industry highly preferred
  • Stable work history and good attendance record
