The Job You Will Perform:

  • Safely maximize productivity on machine while following all quality processes
  • Responsible for machine set up and cleaning duties to maintain continuous production run
  • Performs basic housekeeping tasks in support of machine operations; keeps work area clean, organized and free from clutter and debris. 
  • Performs other duties as such as record keeping, machine performance tracking, inventory counts and material orders as assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Must have the ability to work overtime as needed
  • Must have the flexibility to change shifts and/or work additional hours on short notice.
  • Must be willing to exchange text and phone communication within the team regarding company business.
  • Performs preproduction quality checks assigned by management.
  • Communicates daily performance, product, equipment and material issues with the team through verbal and electronic means.
  • Attends safety, quality and performance meetings.

 

The Skills You Will Bring:

  • Must be able to lift ink buckets weighing up to fifty (50) pounds. 
  • Safe use of other hand tools is required.
  • Ability to work safely in a fast paced environment while producing quality product.
  • Must be able to read a standard tape measure, calipers and read and understand job specification cards. 
  • Must follow all safety rules and procedures; watch out for crew member’s safety at all times; always follow lock out and tag out procedures; always use personal protective equipment (steel toed shoes, safety glasses, ear plugs, Kevlar gloves, etc.). 
  • Work requires the ability to understand and follow directions and problem solve.
  • Demonstrated ability to add and subtract all units of measurement read and copy figures and count and record figures. 
  • A comprehension level is required to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form and to deal with problems. 
  • Basic computer skills and email communication a must.  Knowledge of HRMS, KIWI and Excel is a plus.
