We currently have an opening for a Sales Representative supporting the SpaceKraft liquid bulk packaging division. This sales role is targeted towards early career sales professionals who have the desire to launch their career in a growing business with a unique, technical product line, and aspire to grow into a Business Development Manager. The intent of this role is to learn and understand the business, including both operational and commercial aspects in order to perform analytical work and make recommendations to Sales and Plant General Managers regarding commercial and/or operational strategies.

Key Responsibilities

This position is part of the SpaceKraft Sales Team, based at our Indianapolis, IN facility and will be responsible for these key activities:


  • Support current field Sales Team in an effort to develop a working knowledge of the industry and SpaceKraft business operation.
  • Support the Product Development group in the lab in an effort to develop a complete and comprehensive technical knowledge of all business products.
  • Review new product developments and sales techniques on an ongoing basis
  • Acquire system knowledge and competence, both operational and informational, to perform all functions at a professional level.
  • Assist as a technical advisor to our customers for product quality, design, machinery, processes, procedures, project management, etc.
  • Communicate any assigned customer issues related to quality, service and/or delivery internally to the plant manufacturing and commercial teams.  Works in tandem with the manufacturing team at the plant in identifying root causes and corrective actions for process failures.
  • Recognize and provide insights for developing customer value propositions to further strengthen customer relationships.
  • Analyze and provide timely feedback to the plant on market and business conditions. Think and act strategically to assist in identifying customer business changes, opportunities and/or potential issues and address them in a proactive/solutions-based manner, involving the sales manager and local plant leadership team.
  • Support all company policies.  Foster a positive and safe working environment for fellow employees and customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Upon successful integration with an understanding of industry and business segment, the Sales Representative will be expected to take on responsibility for full territory management, including growing assigned target accounts and prospecting new accounts in the local market.  


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales / Marketing, Engineering, Packaging Design or other related field required
  • A strong general knowledge of business and customer service
  • Outstanding interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications including Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Occasional overnight travel to manufacturing plants, customers, trade shows, training and customers may be required
