Pay Rate:

$95,000 - $110,000

Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.

The Job You Will Perform:

Takes ownership, responsibility and leads work efforts in the following areas:

 

Performance Measurement & Reporting

  • Monthly/Quarterly Reporting
    • Coordinate communication with key stakeholders (Business & Staff leads) for data requirements.
    • Develop monthly FP&A Reporting package for senior management
      • Consolidate and outline key financial metrics for enterprise and business
      • Review and report on Corporate variances – developing key understandings
    • Build and develop BOD Earnings update - development and validation of key business performance metrics (with quick turnaround) for monthly/quarterly reporting to senior management and board of directors. 
      • Consolidate and drive primary analytical reporting of business and enterprise performance using financial/driver based approach - Earnings variances, Commercial/Cost components EBIT/EBITDA reconciliations – for the primary purpose of reporting to board of directors.
    • Consolidation, analysis and analytical reporting of key business drivers and performance metrics (Outages, Downtime, Pricing, PPV)
      • Consolidate preliminary/final business results, analyzing financial variances and trends (periodic and quarterly budgeted, actuals, forecasts, and other targeted metrics) to report out to senior management.
    • Develops quarterly segment based earnings analysis for external reporting purposes, in conjunction with Investor Relations efforts to develop quarterly analyst call presentation

 

  • Working Capital Reporting/Analysis
    • Communicates with Corporate Accounting and other key stakeholders
    • Delivers driver based analysis and prepares key summary reporting
    • Updates forecast/outlook for full year cash flows

 

  • Coordinates FP&A efforts to maintain key financial and performance metrics for continuing operations, as well as past performance of discontinued operations, mergers and acquisitions
    • Researches past performance to align with current operating structures
    • Assists in maintaining data governance and integrity (internal/external communications)

Planning

  • Operating Planning / Forecasting
    • Corporate Budget Consolidation – coordinates with Corporate Accounting and staff group leads to consolidate function based operating plan and forecast.
    • Corporate Analysis – develops reporting and delivers variance analysis - identifying drivers and trends
    • Corporate Allocations – develops/communicates metrics; consolidates and calculates business allocations
    • Supports Manager in development of Annual Staff/Corporate Reviews with Senior Lead Teams
  • Responsible for ensuring data information systems (BPC/SAP) are updated, coordinating in junction with COE Reporting & Analysis and Info. Technology groups.
  • Build and develop forecast reporting
    • Communicates/coordinates with Businesses and Corporate stakeholders to lead consolidation efforts for quarterly forecast.
    • Performs financial/driver based analysis to understand enterprise and business earnings variances to overall reporting
  • Working Capital / Invested Capital
    • Coordinates communications with businesses, corporate accounting and key stakeholders
    • Coordinates data information systems (SAP/BPC)
    • Develops reporting and delivers driver based analysis

 

Financial Analysis

  • Supports broader strategic plan and enterprise, developing ad hoc financial analysis to understand trends in key Business or Enterprise performance drivers - serves as thought partner in Enterprise strategic or financial analysis/projects
  • Supports efforts to maintain good communication with Business MBAs and Analysts’ to ensure driver based analytics are aligned with Finance, Business, and Enterprise needs - Quarterly Business Reviews, external communications, ad hoc requests
  • Supports efforts to align business targets (plan, forecasts, outlooks) with supporting analytics and driver based impacts – tracking key assumptions and performance metrics

 

Key Challenges:

  • There are periods of time on a monthly/quarterly basis (BOD meeting dates and other project deadlines) where working late and unusual hours are required (including an occasional Saturday/Sunday).
  • External Environment – competition, markets, new technology and information sources, new/changing accounting standards.
  • Internal Environment – learning SAP and BPC systems, comfortable with the Performance and Consolidation reporting structures, dealing with Transformation, corporate changes (acquisitions & divestitures).
  • Meeting tight deadlines – team represents the anchor position that must deliver meaningful and relevant reports/analysis/presentations on time.
  • Problem solving (and critical thinking), developing clear and concise answers to complex issues, adapting to change (constantly).
  • Must be detail oriented and have excellent time management skills to meet deadlines and complete multiple tasks.  Should demonstrate potential to develop good people/supervisory skills

 

Scope:

  • Preparation of presentations/data made to senior management, the Board of Directors (or Audit & Finance Committee), earnings press releases and quarterly/annual SEC filings.
  • Company-wide planning, forecasting, and external (analysts) reporting preparation and support
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with key internal business partners (Investor Relations, Treasury, Corporate Accounting, Business & Staff Groups, etc.)

 

The Skills You Will Bring:

  • BA/BS in Finance or Accounting required
  • MBA is preferred
  • SAP and BPC proficiency
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
  • Strong written, presentation, and oral communication skills
  • 5+ years of experience
