The Job You Will Perform:
The HR Compliance Specialist reports to the Senior Manager of HR Compliance and plays a key role in ensuring that workforce compliance programs both meet regulatory obligations while also aligning with business priorities. This position helps drive key initiatives, such as affirmative action and EEO programs, by making sure regulatory requirements are built into everyday HR activities and enabling consistent execution across the U.S. enterprise.
The Specialist works closely with facility and business HR teams to understand their workforce objectives and structure compliance strategies that are aligned, practical, and can be applied consistently across teams and locations. This role helps HR teams apply a consistent compliance framework that reduces risk while supporting talent and operational objectives.
As a subject matter resource, the Specialist helps interpret and apply compliance requirements through data, systems, training, and process improvement. The role supports both operational needs and strategic alignment with requirements under the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act, VEVRAA, and other federal contractor obligations and will:
- Coordinate and support the preparation of annual compliance reporting, EEO-1, and VETS-4212 filings across business units.
- Analyze and reconcile HRIS data to ensure accuracy and completeness for compliance reporting.
- Monitor and track I-9/E-Verify, self-ID campaigns, and employment poster requirements across locations.
- Assist in the review of hiring, promotion, and selection practices to identify potential risks or disparities.
- Partner with HR and Talent Acquisition to support outreach strategies, targeted recruitment, and recordkeeping protocols that help meet both compliance and workforce planning efforts.
- Build trusted relationships with HR and business leaders by providing actionable guidance and user-friendly tools that make compliance more accessible and aligned with business needs.
- Serve as a department liaison for SharePoint content, compliance calendars, and document archives.
- Support risk reviews related to outreach, recruitment, and selection.
- Deliver training or resources that strengthen compliance awareness and consistent execution across HR teams.
- Participate in special projects, audits, and process improvements under the direction of the Senior Manager.
The Skills You Will Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3–5 years of experience in HR or federal contractor compliance.
- Demonstrated knowledge of EEO compliance, affirmative action, and related regulations.
- Strong understanding of HR practices and employment law compliance fundamentals.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; experience with Oracle cloud-based HR technology or Microsoft Access is a plus.
- Proven ability to analyze and interpret data with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with ability to convey technical requirements to non-experts.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a matrixed environment.
- Self-starter with sound judgment, integrity, and ability to work both independently and in team settings.
