$60,000 - $70,000

The Job You Will Perform:

  • This role will support 4 areas of North America Packaging Solutions at IP: Health Safety and Environment, Finance, Legal, Procurement and Specialty Box
  • The position will provide tactical support to the HR Director, Business HR Manager, HR Business Partner, and Recruiter who directly support the previously named areas of the company
  • Troubleshoots SAP HR related issues for the business and brings identified issues to resolution
  • Performs position creation and organizational unit management in SAP for business as required
  • Processes new hire and internal employee transactions to include transfer, promotion, and termination transactions in SAP, working closely with the HR Transactions Team
  • Manage leave of absence process while working with Employee, HR Business Partner/Manager, Manager, Employee Service Center, Sedgwick, and any other escalation representatives
  • Provides job posting information to the Talent Acquisition team as well as posts jobs internally
  • Prepares monthly reports, including headcount report, termination report, new hire reports, and others as requested utilizing SAP, Success Factors, and Tableau
  • Updates business organization charts monthly.
  • Is responsible for coordinating pre-employment activities such as offer letter dispersal in AdobeSign, background checks and drug testing in Sterling Information Systems
  • Manages employee recognitions including: service anniversaries, team birthday, team building events, HR Holiday gathering, promotion/transfer communications
  • Submits relocation authorization request
  • Assists managers and employees with HR systems such as My-IP and Success Factors
  • Serves as liaison to Employee Service Center for payroll and benefits issues and work through to a resolution
  • Maintains personnel files and other records
  • Assists with onboarding new employees, including assisting managers for IT asset requests
  • Completes Employment Eligibility Verification Forms (I-9) in Sterling Information Systems
  • Schedules and organizes all logistics for employee events, meetings, and trainings. Including summer internship events, large group meetings, and off-site events.
  • Performs other related tasks as assigned.

 

Key Challenges:

  • Prioritizing the demands – the office is a very fast paced environment and interacts with a large and geographically diverse group of people.  This requires a demonstrated ability to juggle and prioritize multiple, competing tasks and demands, as well as to know when to seek supervisory assistance in order to ensure all key tasks and duties are completed in a timely and efficient manner. Duties and tasks reflect substantial variety and complexity; Must be able to work under general supervision
  • Relationship management - the person filling this position will have regular contact with people from all levels in the organization. 
  • Flexibility – occasionally special projects and unusual job demands of this position will require this person to have some flexibility in terms of work hours on short notice
  • The incumbent in this position will always handle sensitive and confidential situations, material, therefore this position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.

 

The Skills You Will Bring:

  • Self-starter, excellent interpersonal skills, positive attitude, good organizational skills, and ability to analyze data
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality
  • SAP experience strongly preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word and Microsoft Outlook)
  • High school education or greater. Bachelor’s degree required for further advancement.
  • Knowledge of HR policies and procedures preferred
  • Strong analytical capability, with ability to identify irregularities in data and proactively address
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to successfully juggle multiple priorities from multiple groups/leaders and deliver results for established deadlines
