The Job You Will Perform:  

  • Sustain, support enhancement requests, bug fixes, and functional business capabilities of Legal and Corporate Affairs applications through configuration and customization to meet business requirements. 
  • Examples may include but are not limited to. 
  • Application configuration 
  • Report creation. 
  • User access controls 
  • Work closely with other IT teams (e.g., Security, Application Services, and Technical Services) to ensure seamless integrations between the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) application and other systems (e.g., SAP ECC, custom .NET applications, SSO) 
  • Identify, document, and perform acceptance testing to ensure completeness and accuracy of solutions and regression testing to ensure stability of applications. 
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and assess impact of problems to resolve issues, which may include adjustments to business processes or technology as a part of the remediation process. 
  • Research and influence the direction of Legal and Corporate Affairs technologies and capabilities at International Paper 
  • Develop and maintain support documentation such as business process flows and system configuration documentation. 
  • Lead overall process improvements by evaluating alternative procedural and systematic solutions that meet business requirements while maintaining IT and business standards. 
  • Capture, understand, and translate business requirements into functional documentation (both Agile user stories and Waterfall functional specifications) for IT development. 
  • Understand, champion, and work within the framework of the Project Delivery Process (PDP) and the IT Operating Model 
  • Ensure that business needs are being met and that assignments are delivered on time by remaining organized, keeping stakeholders informed, and leading through change effectively. 
  • Interact with business and IT partners to create relationships that deliver value. 
  • Lead selected assignments independently by preparing medium to complex project plans, coordinating multiple resources, and reporting project status. 
  • Additional duties as assigned. 

 

The Skills You Will Bring:  

  • Typically has 6-8 years of IT experience. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred 
  • Strong functional and technical skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills demonstrating the ability to communicate with multiple audiences (business partner, end-user, technical, management) 
  • Ability to finalize business requirements into formal documents, diagrams, process flows, test cases, and user stories.
  • Demonstrated problem solving capabilities. 
  • Intellectual curiosity and the ability to question both business partners and customers across functional areas to determine business needs. 
  • Proven experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) 
  • Experience or exposure to design thinking, user experience (UX), and design preferred. 
  • Minimum of 4+ years of multi-project experience, with experience leading medium-large initiatives from beginning to end. 
  • Ability to bring innovation and change to a significant IT functional area. 
  • Possess drive to make things happen through people. 
  • Agile learner that can understand new technologies and capabilities quickly.
  • Experience in data analytics a plus. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills 
  • Self-directed and experienced with minimal management oversight and able to work in a hybrid virtual environment. 
  • Must be highly organized and able to juggle multiple business partners and IT operational priorities.
