The Global Risk Management department is seeking an experienced risk management professional to join our team within Treasury. Our mission is to design and implement insurance and risk management programs that effectively protect IP’s assets and earnings worldwide. Reporting to the Assistant Treasurer, Global Risk Management, you will have the opportunity to create value daily while continuing to grow as a leader in risk management and finance.

 

The Job You Will Perform:

  • Oversee the renewal and management of property/casualty insurance programs.
  • Supervise budgets, allocations, and accounting functions for designated programs.
  • Lead the development and implementation of value-added projects, including alternative risk financing and captive insurance strategies.
  • Foster innovation and enhance the department's technological capabilities.
  • Provide expert consultation on risk issues to support informed decision-making by business owners.
  • Identify and advocate for opportunities to improve processes.

 

The Skills You Will Bring:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, or equivalent field of study.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of progressive Risk Management or Insurance industry experience, including leading teams of employees and/or external providers.
  • Strong technical knowledge of various property/casualty insurance products (property, liability, executive risk, marine, cyber/technology, etc.) on a multinational basis.
  • Well-developed analytical and communication/presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple, sometimes conflicting, responsibilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft software, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and SharePoint
  • Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), or equivalent designation.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or similar advanced degree.
  • Experience with multinational business, manufacturing, or global insurance regulations.
