Senior Auditor in Charge

Sr. Auditor in Charge

The Job You Will Perform:


The Senior Auditor In Charge will work in a team environment to provide operating locations and corporate functions with detailed reviews of their control environment and reports to the Audit Manager. In addition, the individual will work on projects to improve governance, risk management and the efficiency of Company processes. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with an interest in limited travel and the opportunity to interact with various levels of business and staff management throughout the Company.


  • Prepare and plan one or multiple audits (compliance, process, operational, or financial audit in sequence or parallel)
  • Conduct audit fieldwork including development of audit program in accordance with audit standards & schedule
  • Coach and lead other auditors
  • Observe, research, document or analyze business processes 
  • Independently prepare workpapers as well as review and approve work of others in Auditboard
  • Review and draft audit findings and write audit reports
  • Interact with various levels of business management to negotiate corrective action plans and present findings
  • Supervise audit team on the audit engagement
  • Provide guidance and research on policy, procedures, I/C concepts, internal audit processes and other matters
  • Lead training and development of new audit team members/new hires
  • Develop customer relationships and organizational agility
  • Lead special projects and process improvement efforts as needed


The Skills You Will Bring:

  • Bachelors of Arts or Science degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, Mathematics, Business, Engineering, Communications, Data Modeling, Statistics, Computer & Informational Sciences, International Business or other applicable disciplines
  • 5-8 years prior work experience including operational or functional roles in manufacturing corporations, internal or external audit, accounting, or financial analysis.
  • Ability to travel up to 10-20%.


Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Audit certification (CPA, CIA, CISA)
  • IP - Yellow belt certification
  • Other IP business/finance/operational experience
  • Experience with audit management tools
  • Experience with managing projects
  • Experience with developing training tools and policies and procedures
