The Job You Will Perform:
As a Senior Buyer on IP’s Global Cellulose Fibers (GCF) Sourcing – Business Services team, you will be responsible for sourcing products and services in support of strategies initiated by various internal staff groups within GCF.
With guidance from the GCF Business Services, you will be responsible for driving value by applying your sourcing expertise to the organization’s objectives and initiatives. You will work on multiple projects simultaneously and have the ability to effectively manage competing priorities. Project durations may range from two weeks to more than a year.
- In coordination with business stakeholders, negotiate and contract the best overall value proposition (price, delivery, and service level) for services and solutions while following GCF’s internal Global Sourcing processes.
- Lead and/or assist in both conventional and complex contract negotiations for assigned.
- Leverage your strong contract language development, negotiation skills, and contract management abilities.
- Drive change through exceptional communication, interpersonal, and customer relations talents.
- Form strong relationships and trust with internal stakeholders.
- Monitor trends in market conditions to maintain evolving business strategies.
- Leverage data, reporting, and analytics to optimize best practices and cost savings opportunities.
- Lead cross-functional teams through a disciplined strategic process
- Effectively manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
- Coordinate with resources in support functions to ensure strategies and agreements are well defined and aligned with company needs and financial objectives.
- Evaluate current spend to identify and capture savings and opportunities for diversity suppliers.
The Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge You Will Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 5+ years’ work experience sourcing, procurement and/or contract management
- IT procurement experience preferred
- Experience leading and participating on cross-functional teams
- Contract review and negotiation experience
- Process-oriented with strong attention to details
- Strong analytical skills
