The Job You Will Perform:

International Paper is seeking a Procurement Steward to join our Containerboard Operations Support team. This role is responsible for supporting analytics and automation initiatives that enhance procurement processes and decision-making. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders and third-party software providers to implement analytical tools that improve operational efficiency and data transparency across sourcing and facility purchasing.

This position also supports SAP and Blue Yonder data management, including mass data updates using tools such as Winshuttle and collaborates with IT to improve data intake processes and implement system enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain analytics and automation solutions that support procurement performance and strategic goals.
  • Define data requirements in collaboration with stakeholders and translate them into actionable insights.
  • Provide user support and troubleshooting for procurement systems and analytics tools.
  • Develop analytics tools for Blue Yonder Transportation Sourcing and Planning processes with Cognos
  • Perform mass data updates in SAP using Winshuttle or other scripting tools.
  • Partner with IT to improve data intake processes and implement system enhancements that support long-term data quality.
  • Manage and resolve issues through the Source ticket queue (SDM Tickets), identifying root causes and recommending long-term solutions.
  • Conduct system testing and validation for new analytics solutions.
  • Create training materials and documentation to support adoption of analytics tools.
  • Coordinate with third-party software providers to implement and optimize external solutions.

The Skills You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in purchasing or storeroom operations preferred.
  • Exposure to finance or accounts payable processes is a plus.
  • Familiarity with global sourcing practices and third-party procurement tools is desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in tools such as Alteryx, SQL, Xtract Universal, and Precisely (Winshuttle).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Power BI).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
  • Manufacturing Excellence knowledge (White Belt; Yellow Belt preferred).
  • Demonstrated competencies in customer focus, problem solving, process management, and learning agility.
