The Job You Will Perform:
The Senior Compensation Analyst is part of the Global Cellulose Fibers business within International Paper. This position will be responsible for managing and executing various compensation-related tasks and projects. This role requires a high level of expertise in compensation analysis, market data management, and salary structure development. The Senior Compensation Analyst will work closely with HR partners, regional support teams, and other stakeholders to ensure the effective administration of compensation programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Salary Survey Administration:
- Confirm global survey needs and sources.
- Validate submission methodology.
- Prepare and submit survey data to vendors.
- Receive and manage market data.
- Salary Structure & Merit Matrix Development & Approval:
- Prepare and develop salary structures.
- Obtain approvals for salary structures and merit matrices.
- Distribute final structures.
- Job Evaluation System Administration:
- Support HR with job evaluations
- Develop tools for job evaluations.
- Create processes for HR to submit job evaluation requests.
- Review job matches.
- Update training and process resources annually.
- Annual Comp Cycle System Configuration, Testing, Planning, Prep & Execution:
- Define and finalize the current year scope
- Conduct global compensation planning prep
- Variable Pay Administration:
- Support HR partners and regional teams in submitting variable compensation plans.
- Define variable plans.
- Submit approved incentive plan documents and risk questionnaires.
- Facilitate gainsharing committee meetings.
- Collect and distribute quarterly and annual gain-sharing updates.
- Conduct incentive plan risk assessments.
- Training & Communications:
- Distribute salaried compensation policies and procedures guides to new HR partners.
- Coordinate and deliver compensation town hall meetings and training sessions.
- Develop and deliver training materials for HR associates and managers.
- Miscellaneous Projects:
- Monitor legislative updates and implement action plans.
- Conduct pay equity analysis.
- Collaborate on job catalog projects.
- Manage market data tool upgrades and branding projects.
The Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge You Will Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in compensation analysis or related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in compensation management tools and software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
