$104,100 - $127,300

Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range. Variable pay may provide additional opportunities for financial awards. This job is eligible to participate in IP’s annual and long-term incentive plans.

Position Description:

  • Responsible for providing financial leadership and oversight for the facility in order to achieve business objectives and goals in a manner consistent with International Paper policies and procedures
  • Responsible for leadership and oversight of the finance function within the facility to include: 
    • Remediate and implement internal controls
    • Accurate and timely reporting of financial information
    • Analysis of performance, profitability improvement objectives and opportunities
    • Strategic planning and analysis, forecasting
    • Capital effectiveness and analysis
    • Project Analysis
    • Development of personnel
  • Responsible for assessing Business needs and ensuring alignment and execution
  • The key customers are: the Site Manager, the Region Controller, key members of the NAC Finance Staff, and other members of NAC Management

 

The Job You Will Perform:

  • Direct the preparation and analysis of the annual strategic plan, capital plan, monthly operating results, trends, capital projects and operating forecasts in order to meet facility objectives. 
  • Identify & execute on key goals and strategy
  • Ensure facility maintains accurate books and records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and that the business is conducted in compliance with established division and corporate policies, procedures and practices
  • Ensures accurate and timely processing of daily, weekly, and monthly responsibilities and reports
  • Ensures all monthly, quarterly and year-end operating results are reported accurately, on a timely basis and in accordance with company policies and procedures 
  • Maintains & ensures an adequate system of internal controls exists for the facility along with management’s engagement and use of the QR16 for compliance reviews 
  • The Controller will be an individual contributor, performing all accounting related tasks to drive and support the business
  • Other tasks as assigned to meet business/facility needs

 

 The Skills You Will Bring:

  • Undergraduate degree with focus in Accounting/Finance, advanced degree or certification desirable
  • Three years’ experience in manufacturing related environment
  • Accounting experience in manufacturing, with converting operations desirable 
  • Experience in the corrugated industry Preferred
  • Proven ability to analyze financial statements and identify potential problems
  • Ability to work with teams and ensure alignment
  • Knowledge of corporate policies and procedures 
  • Strong administrative, organizational and analytical skills 
  • Must be a self-starter and deliver on objectives 
  • Ability to deal well with ambiguity
  • Functional/Technical Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills, PC skills, IP Systems Knowledge, Multi-tasking, Internal Controls
  • Competencies:  Business Acumen, Action Oriented, Managing Vision and Purpose, Time Management, Problem Solving, Informing Skills, Priority Setting, Learning on the Fly, Managerial Courage
