The Job You Will Perform:

The key accountabilities listed below are not to be considered all-inclusive; a team member may be required to perform additional tasks, as directed, based on changing business needs of the company.

  • Participates in safety related activities and role model for safe and healthy practices, identifies and ensures resolution to safety issues in assigned area; including upholding housekeeping standards.
  • Set maintenance priorities within assigned area (including PMO and SD job identification), works closely with Area Maintenance Manager, HPTL and Planners in getting equipment repairs and PM’s planned, scheduled, and executed.
  • Lead/assist troubleshooting efforts and problem resolution in assigned area (working with maintenance personnel and operations).
  • Accountable for maintenance reliability results in assigned area, works closely with VA resources and uses all senses to tracking emerging equipment problems.
  • Responsible for understanding and resolving failures, works closely with Failure Analysis resource to penetrate root cause and involve other technical resources (i.e. reliability engineers, corporate resources, external tech. resources, vendors, etc.) to resolve repetitive problems, lead small project execution to solve repetitive issue.
  • Tracks %PM Comp., integrity, reliability for assigned area.
  • Create SAP notifications and work orders and assign complete status after job execution, ensure quality of work order description and content, update job plan, material requirements for future work order quality.
  • Provide input to planner during the job planning process
  • Act as International Paper Contract Coordinator (IPCC) for jobs in assigned area, visiting job sites in assigned area during job execution to assess if any assistance is required, provide feedback to Area Maintenance Manager, HPTL and Planner on observations made that improve the planning, scheduling, or execution processes.
  • Bill of Material creator, responsible for creating and maintaining the material component information for functional locations, equipment and material.
  • Maintains and updates equipment files/drawings/documents/manuals, ensures records reflect any change, upgrade, new installation, removal for service.
  • Owns the PM system for assigned area, tracks PM completion results and gives data to planner, leads area PM renewal evaluating frequency, resource requirements, job plans, works closely with Planners to document new PMs and changes into MPS/FI
  • Works with storeroom resources in using the MPS/FI Refurbishment Process for repairable equipment/parts.

  • Aid in the execution of mill-wide quality efforts as needed to help maintain mill quality standards.

Minimum:

  • Self-managed, self-starter can operate with minimum supervision

  • Proficient computer skills; Excel, Word, SAP, DMMS
  • Understands and applies Planning & Scheduling in SAP

  • Must be committed to Preventive Maintenance philosophy (proactive vs. reactive)
  • Must be committed to following QA/QC procedures

 

Preferred:

  • Qualified Intermedate in primary maintenance skill area (Internal candidates only)
  • Auditory perception to respond to safety and operational sounds.
  • Ability to be part of a multi-functional/multi-skill maintenance organization with a willingness to flow to work as required by changing mill conditions and priorities.
  • Basic understanding of the mill’s equipment, drives, and control equipment.
