Pay Rate:

$164,900-$201,500

Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.

The Job You Will Perform: 

  • Be actively involved in mill safety program.  Proactively lead the Reliability Maintenance Team to help meet safety goals and objectives.
  • Design out reliability issues as necessary. Motivated individual that can prioritize and flow to small issues to prevent large failures.
  • Lead mill wide process optimization efforts. Lead mill efforts to remove process bottle necks and find new opportunities for improvement
  • Lead the PdM team to achieve reliability goals.
  • Drive root cause failure analysis program on reliability incidents especially for chronic reliability problems.
  • Support our MWS teams while reducing/eliminating downtime on the machines.
  • Directly lead and actively engage the reliability engineering team to provide excellent results in reliable and cost effective operations.
  • Lead problem solving teams to identify and resolve problems using facts, knowledge, and data.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues with equipment and causes of downtime and implement projects or procedures to eliminate them.
  • Facilitate and sustain forward progress in attaining all objectives of reliability elements (13) in the mill.
  • Ensure management of the Tank Integrity Program.
  • Responsible for overseeing and managing the mill’s reliability program.
  • Assist in identifying chronic issues both operational or maintenance.
  • Maintain and develop team relationships.
  • Facilitate self-assessments and peer assessments for Reliability Elements
  • Support the facility in achieving manufacturing excellence using total quality principles, superior manufacturing techniques and preventive maintenance.
  • Provide technical assistance to Process and Maintenance team members through process area audits.
  • Assist with design and analysis of routes, equipment, time, tools.
  • Develop & implement preventative maintenance programs as needed.
  • Understand and meet internal and external customer requirements.
  • Ensure inspection and repair processes are accomplished and documented so that mill equipment conforms to standards, company policies and governing laws/regulations to ensure safe, legal and reliable operation.
  • Fulfill area specific 5S expectations (5 Minute 5S Checklists Replenishment of tools and supplies, 5S Audits, etc).
  • Responsible for ensuring that the following specific reliability systems are developed and maintained in a consistent and sustainable manner mill-wide:
    • Reliability program
      • Manufacturing Work systems (MWS), Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), Significant Reliability Recordable (SRR) management, RI database management, Instrument/Electrical Precision Maintenance (IEPM), Electric Power Distribution (EPD), Mechanical Precision Maintenance (MPM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM), Preventative Maintenance, Operator Basic Care, Annual Outage management, Lubrication, Facility Preservation, and Reliability Certification
    • Management of Change (MOC)
    • CMMS Management
    • DMSI Management
    • Constrained area downtime recording

Quality Expectations

  • Ensure an understanding of quality policy and support efforts for a positive customer experience.
  • Aid in the execution of mill-wide quality efforts as needed to help maintain mill quality standards.

 

The Skills You Will Bring:

  • Minimum
    • Five years of industrial maintenance experience, utilizing mechanical, electrical and instrumentation system experience. Strong operations experience is a plus.
    • Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices and safety leadership.
    • Demonstrated effective facilitation, project execution, follow-up and problem-solving skills.
    • Demonstrated leadership experience. Effective at directing and developing salaried reports.
    • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with team members and customers.
  • Preferred
    • B.S. in an engineering discipline
    • Paper mill experience in operations or maintenance and strong process knowledge.
    • Experience with High Performance Work Systems
    • Formal reliability training or experience implementing reliability systems
