Production Supervisor

International Paper is seeking a proven and dedicated leader to lead its converting operations.  Reporting the Performance Improvement Manager, the Converting Supervisor leads and motivate our people by setting an example of superior behavior, attitude and performance to work efficiently and effectively, while ensuring a safe work environment, and a quality product.    This position is responsible to provide, direction and leadership in safety, quality, productivity and engagement for the hourly employees in converting to ensure that goals and targets are met. Key accountabilities include but are not limited to:

  • Actively promote and ensure compliance with safety, quality and other programs and initiatives utilized within the organization.
  • Supervise employees in the daily production of corrugated packaging, to include
    • training, planning, assigning, and directing work;
    • evaluating employee performance;
    • rewarding , disciplining and resolving conflicts with hourly employees; and
    • promoting safety, quality production and teamwork
  • Effectively communicate operational information in both oral and written format at all levels: crewmembers, other supervisors, plant management, office personnel and outside customers and vendors. 
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.  
  • Prior experience in the corrugated packaging industry. 
  • Two years of supervisory experience
