Position Title:        Material Handler 2

 

Pay Rate:               $17.24/hr [TC1] 

 

Category/Shift:      Hourly Full-Time (must be able to work any shift and/or Over Time

                                based upon workload) 

 

Perks:                        Monday- Friday Work Schedule. Overtime opportunities.

The Job You Will Perform: [TC5] 

  • Operate a down-stroke baler and electric and manual pallet jack, and forklift
  • Complete sorting and deboxing of material
  • Move/stack pallets/materials on the production floor
  • Dump gaylords, totes and cages
  • Complete daily weekly monthly PMs for all certified mobile equipment
  • Complete daily pre-start forklift maintenance inspection report (or VCR)
  • Must be able to lift 25 – 30 lbs.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment according to plant housekeeping standards
  • Attend and participate in Plant safety meetings.
  • Manage controllable costs through proper equipment, tool and consumable usage
  • Report any safety or maintenance concerns
  • Complete purchase requests, time sheets and all related paperwork required to document maintenance activities
  • Communicate with floor lead – maintenance issues, downtime, production issues, unacceptable or non-conforming loads, poor bale quality, or any other issues with material being handled.
  • Adhere to Plant policies and guidelines
  • Others duties per management direction.

  • Learn Paper Grades
  • Assist and support implementation of EHS initiatives and strategies to reduce risk including but not limited to the areas of: OSHA, ergonomics, injury / illness reduction, hazard communication, environmental, emergency preparedness, and general employee safety
  • Support LIFE areas, Safety Leading Indicators and Global Program Elements
  • Work safely and look out for the safety of those around them
  • Follow Safe Reliable Methods (SRMs) or Job Safety Analyses (JSAs)
