The Job You Will Perform:

 

The Orange Mill is currently seeking a Central Services Planner.  This position is responsible for the safe and efficient planning of work activities; planned, scheduled and emergency work assigned, code compliance, quality of workmanship, training, housekeeping and the documentation of maintenance activities in the central services area.  This includes the pipe fabrication shop, machine shop, rebuild shop, and automotive shop.  Objective is to reduce costs and increase productivity by continuously improving efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance work execution through work order planning, outage scheduling, and improvement in the MWS process.  The Central Services Planner reports to the Balance of Plant Area Maintenance Manager. 

Responsibilities include

  • Works with Production and Maintenance staff to plan and schedule the repair and PM of equipment and systems.
  • Coordinates and Prioritizes work by consulting with Operations and Maintenance staff, Engineers and EHS resources.
  • Work closely with Central Services FLL to ensure full weekly schedule is ready to execute, fulfill mill staffing needs through resource sharing and communication, and work to improve training and understanding of craftsmen and the MWS teams across the mill.
  • Assure scheduling of Safety Work Orders, safety awareness, safe work and compliance with safety rules and policies in all work performed by
  • Prepares monthly reports for reliability improvements, shop efficiency, and cost savings provided through central services.
  • Leadership, including workforce engagement, diversity, employee development and labor relations.
  • Communicate mill and department performance levels and standards to Craftsmen.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all field work is performed in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Keep current documentation on all equipment and maintain appropriate specifications.
  • Improve area reliability through the disciplined application of the MWS principles with a major focus on overall planning and scheduling quality.
  • Increase all area populations of Precision repair procedures, Job libraries and bill of materials (BOM).
  • Part of the Storeroom inventory team where you will participate in storeroom stocking and inventory reduction efforts and help to ensure all process are followed to ensure integrity of the stores parts.
  • Support mill 5S Efforts.
  • Archive reference materials/drawings/technical materials
  • Fulfill weekend duty team role for Maintenance
  • Participate and help drive Global Manufacturing Systems across mill
  • Instill safety as a core value within the team and effectively communicate a shared vision for safety 

 

 

The Skills You Will Bring:

 

Qualifications include

  • Pulp & Paper Mill Mechanical Maintenance Supervision experience preferred
  • Education:  High School Diploma required, post-secondary degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and MS Project
  • Utilize excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate to groups and individuals at all levels
