Maintenance Front Line Leader - Elect

Electrical & Instrumentation – Front Line Leader

The E/I Front Line Leader is responsible for planned, scheduled and emergency work assigned, code compliance, quality of workmanship, training, housekeeping and all other maintenance efforts.

The E/I Front Line Leader reports to the Area Maintenance Manager.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Being a catalyst for change in the areas of Safety and Craftsmanship.

 

  • Directs the activities of the crew so they safely perform high quality work within the guidelines of mill policies and procedures. 

 

 

  • Works with Production and Reliability staff to determine ways to assure and improve the reliability of equipment and systems, minimizing the amount of rework that needs to be completed.

 

  • Supervises safe work activities of an entire maintenance crew. Must be a visible leader within the crew.
  • Leadership, including workforce engagement, diversity, employee and staff development and labor relations 

 

  • Financial Management, including establishing and managing budgets and compliance with financial controls 

 

 

  • Authorized to make decisions affecting the quality of maintenance processes and to recommend shutdown of production for emergency repairs.

 

  • Communicate any quality issues to production department(s.) 

 

 

  • Be an active participant in daily MWS process to ensure work is planned and scheduled in a timely manner for work execution. Once scheduled, assure all parts are onsite and correct before scheduling work.

 

  • Make sure any maintenance repairs needed are put into the work order system on a timely basis.  Expedite emergency work.

  

Experience:

  • Pulp & Paper Mill Maintenance experience preferred
  • Maintenance Experience in a Manufacturing Setting required
  • Supervisory Experience is preferred.

 

Education:

 High School Diploma is required, post-secondary education preferred.
