Shipping Forklift Operator($24.28)-2nd or 3rd Shift ONLY

Shipping Forklift Operator

 

Pay Rate:

$24.18 per hour + shift differential if applicable

 

Category/Shift:

The plant operates 24/5 with 8-12 hour shifts.  Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed; overtime may be needed during busy periods

The Job You Will Perform: 

  • Must be able to maneuver in tight spaces as our dock/loading area is extremely small
  • Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations
  • Efficiently stack and store the items in the appropriate/designated areas
  • Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage
  • Report quality variances
  • Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped
  • Load, unload, move, stack, and stage product and materials using a forklift, pull packs or other power equipment. Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion. On a daily basis, inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment. Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following indicated work methods
  • Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained. Assist in physical inventories
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the shipping dock as well as the plant. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety. Comply with all IPs Safety policies and protocols at all times
  • Other duties as assigned by managers and or supervisors/shift leader
  • Be accountable for all of your personal load tallies

 

The Skills You Will Bring:

  • Minimum 2 years’ sitdown forklift experience preferred
  • Previous forklift operating experience in an industrial manufacturing or other labor intensive work experience preferred
  • Be able to read and understand loading instructions from computer
  • Be able to understand and follow all safety rules
  • Be able to read and understand machine line up
  • Experience with RF scanner to scan in and out product
  • Able to understand and accurately utilize KIWI
  • Able to utilize RF scanner and perform cycle counts to verify quantities
  • MUST be dependable and reliable
  • Able to interpret a variety of instructions given in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
