Shipping Receiving Coordinator

Position Title:           Shipping and Receiving Coordinator  

 

Pay Rate:                   $20.47/hr

 

Category/Shift:        Hourly Full-Time, (7:30 am – 4:00 pm, Monday – Friday)

 

Physical Location:   301 S. 30th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85034

 

The Job You Will Perform:

  • Responsible for organizing and managing the day-to-day logistical activities for all incoming and outgoing shipments while continuously communicating and coordinating shipment activities with scheduling, production, sales, and customer service
  • Collaborate with Plant Superintendent to schedule all customer requests according to production schedule
  • Enter customer pickup request in cieTrade system
  • Process/Enter shipments through cieTrade system
  • Submit availability and order requests to Marketing Team/Sales Reps
  • Assure all documentation is legible and accurate
  • Create and process packing lists and bills of ladings
  • Maintain bill of lading and receiving reports
  • Serve as a point of contact within operations, handle incoming calls on main phone line, assist Sales & Marketing Team in a timely manner to resolve customer concerns/inquiries (may include: production rejection, bill of lading and discrepancies, claims, etc.)
  • Print new plant orders daily through cieTreade system
  • Run an ‘Incomplete Shipment’ report + a ‘Duplicate Shipment’ report. Work with assigned Customer Service Rep(s) to finalize Incomplete Shipments during the month & for month end purposes
  • Work with CSR to remove any shipments from ‘Hold’ status. (Incomplete shipments may lack ‘final weights’, ‘missing price’, ‘missing release #’ …etc.)
  • Collaborate with Customer Service Team to process additional bookings, clear exceptions, and resolve pricing discrepancies
  • Enter material receipt data into Material Receiving System (MRS)
  • Responsible for entering accurate data into the system, including reviewing work and detect mistakes before submitting information into the system
  • Assist Team and Recycle Reps with clearing exceptions (including intercompany)
  • Handle truck scale to effectively coordinate inbound and outbound trucking activity
  • Interact with customers and Truck Drivers
  • Train others as necessary
  • Provide coverage and serve as back-up/point of contact for the Scale Clerk and Traffic Lead
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment according to plant housekeeping standards
  • Participate in process improvement activities to reduce errors and improve customer satisfaction
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Experience in entering and processing shipments
  • Familiarity with cieTrade specialized software (preferred)
  • Knowledge of shipping regulations, carrier procedures, and industry best practices
  • Pride in reliability and working with a team
  • On-the-job success in safety, attendance & quality of work expected
