Die Cut Assistant Operator

2425 Assistant Rotary Die Cut Operator

 

Pay Rate:

$23.16/Hr. + Shift Differential

 

Sign on Bonus: 

$500 after 90 Days,

$500 after 6 Months,

$500 after 1 Year and an additional bonus at 2 Years

Hourly Full-Time/2nd Shift

 

The plant operates 24/5.

Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed; significant overtime may be needed during busy periods.

The Job You Will Perform:

  • Learn customer requirements and specifications by reading factory work orders, print cards, and design specifications.
  • Prepare for set ups and runs by obtaining factory spec sheets, tooling, ink, and other supplies.
  • Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Perform set up functions as directed by the operator including but not limited to removing and attaching cutting dies; zeroing and opening/closing the machine; raising, auto-setting, and lowering the pre-feeder; setting the stacker and counter-ejector portions of the machine; installing inks; recovering ink and washing ink filters; cleaning, setting, and adjusting the glue application system; and completing paperwork, while continuously balancing work with the operator
  • Performs basic routine adjustments during the machine run and maintains production throughout the run including quality inspections and tests meeting production goals.
  • Observe and monitor basic machine operations to detect malfunctions and to determine if adjustments are needed.
  • Maintain housekeeping continually during the assigned shift.
  • Complete forms, logs, and records accurately as required.
  • Comply with all IP’s Safety Rules and Quality policies and protocols.
  • Other duties assigned by Managers and/or Supervisors/Shift Lead
  • Learn Operator duties and responsibilities to be able to fill in when needed.
  • Work effectively as a team member.
  • Provide daily feedback to Supervisor regarding all aspects of shift/machine activity.

 

The Skills You Will Bring:  

  • Manufacturing/production work experience preferred.
  • Ability to problem solve with minimal assistance.
  • Ability to perform and sustain productivity goals (set up times, down time, MSF produced, etc.)
  • Must be able to communicate effectively.
  • Must have basic computer skills, perform basic arithmetic, and accurately read tape measures, gauges, and other test equipment.
  • Ability to learn and understand machine line up.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions given in oral, written, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Knowledge of KIWI preferred.
  • Punctuality, excellent work ethic, and a cheerful outlook.
