We are looking for highly skilled Industrial Electrical and/or Instrumentation Maintenance Technicians are dependable with excellent problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills. Pay based off of experience can be up to $43.47/hour (plus up to a $0.90/hour shift allowance). Additionally, new hires are eligible for up to $5,000 in relocation assistance for those that relocate more than 75 miles from the Port Wentworth Mill.
This position is responsible for routine maintenance work as well as performing many duties independently.
Duties for Electrical or Instrumentation technicians include, but are not restricted to, ability to safely operate equipment in a heavy industrial environment, diagnostics, repair, maintenance and calibration of instrumentation and electrical control systems. Troubleshooting all electrical, instrumental and process malfunctions, including mechanical power transmission equipment and hydraulic and pneumatic systems, repairing and overhauling automatic control valves, sensors, positioners, actuators, electrical AC/DC systems and related systems.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be 18 years or older
- Eligible for employment in the US
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic computer skills
- Able to function in a team environment.
- 5 or more years of Heavy Industrial Maintenance Experience in any of the following skill areas: Instrumentation, Electrical, or both Instrumentation and Electrical
PLUS: Must be willing to meet the following requirements:
- Undergo a drug screen for illicit use of drugs as a condition of employment.
- Submit to periodic drug screens as a condition of employment.
- Work any shift and/or a rotating shift schedule
- Work overtime on a regular basis and with last minute notification.
- Work holidays and/or weekends on a regular basis.
- Wear required safety equipment.
- Operate or work in industrial conditions (i.e. warm/hot, dusty/dirty, around hazardous chemicals, noise, heavy machinery or elevated working surfaces with proper safety training and safety protection).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree in any of the IP Core Maintenance skills or related disciplines. (Instrumentation or Electrical)
- Relevant work experience in an industrial environment.
- Strong math/physics understanding.
- Instrumentation background on the Instrumentation Electrical side.
